Golf season is coming to an end as the cold fall and winter creep closer, but some golf places are opening up night golf soon. Night golf is coming up from the shadows and becoming a new fun thing to do with friends and family after school or on the weekends.
Ledgeview Golf Course is open on Friday, October 4th for “Light The Night” which is 9 holes and only for that night. Cost to play is $70 and it is only available for the first 36 teams of four.
At Patriot Golf Course in Abrams on Friday,October 4th, there will be 4-person teams doing a scramble (everyone hits a ball and the players choose the ball they want to take). The cost is $75/person or $300/Team; it includes a dinner and two golf balls. It is a 9 hole event starting at dark but you have to be there prior to 8 p.m. for dinner.
Hilly Haven is hoping to open up for night golf in the next couple of years. They hope to have the driving range as well as a few holes open at that time.
Night golf is something fun to do if you are into golf and want it to look cooler.
The balls light up so you can see clearly where they go, and the fairways are lit so you aren’t wondering where to hit it.
Some may think that night golf is harder because you can’t see your ball as well, while others think it is more fun because you are golfing “after hours”.
There are other events that golfers can do instead of night golf that are coming up. For example, on October 26th you can sign up to play Screaming Scared Scramble at Hilly Haven. It’s the toughest pin placements you’ve ever seen. Players are encouraged to dress up in costumes. It starts at 10 a.m. as a 4 person scramble, $100 per person/ $75 per member, 18 holes.
