What’s the best water fountain in De Pere High School? Random, right?
I decided to walk around the whole school to try the best — and worst — water fountains to give my rankings of the best fountain.
In last place, I put the boys’ locker room, the second floor A wing (East Hallway), and the fountains at the top of the stairwell in the B wing. None of the water fountains work; they all get a 0/5.
In 11th place, I put the fountain on the 2nd floor of the A wing (West Hallway). The water spilled everywhere, making it hard to drink, and the water is bad from start to finish. Even 20 minutes later, I still had a bad taste in my mouth; it tasted like rust. 0.5/5
For 10th place, I have the D wing fountains, and for 9th, I have the first-floor A wing fountains on the northeast side of the building. Both have a mildly OK taste but also leave a rusty aftertaste. 1/5 and 1.25/5 respectively.
8th place, I placed the 1st and 2nd floor bathrooms. It isn’t bad water, but it’s nothing good. The water is warm and has very low water pressure. 2/5
7th place is the gym hallway fountains, normal temperature, and low water pressure. The best thing about it is its placement; it’s nice and refreshing after running around in the gym for an hour. 3/5
In 6th place, I put the A wing bathroom fountains. It has a nice water flow with cold water — not as cold as some of the higher ones — and a good water flow. It’s placed by one of the busiest bathrooms, so it’s sometimes hard to use during passing times. 3.5/5
In 5th place are the B wing fountains on the 1st floor. The water isn’t great and sometimes leaves an aftertaste. So then you might be wondering, why is it so high up? Because the water pressure on one of them is so high that it acts more like a hose and sprays all over the wall. 4/5
4th place goes to the girls’ locker room. I’m not a girl, so I can’t comment on it, but I have heard from others that it’s good.
3rd place is the commons fountains. Really good water temperature with zero aftertaste and a nice water arc. The only thing holding it back from being higher is that it’s in the commons, and it’s hard to use with so many people trying to do the same as you. 4.5/5
2nd place is in the A wing hallway by the theatre door, and 1st is the Speed and Strength fountains. Both of them are very similar, really cold with nice water flow and no aftertaste.
The reason the Speed and Strength one is number 1 is because after working so hard and sweating, it’s nice to get that cold, refreshing water afterward. Both 5/5
