The time has come – the De Pere Redbirds have finally been put to rest.
De Pere played its final game of the season against the Waunakee Warriors losing 42-28 on Friday, Nov. 7 in the quarterfinals of the football WIAA Division 1 playoffs.
Their final standings were 7-5, also being 4-3 and getting 4th place in their conference (Fox River Classic – North Conference).
“After the loss it was heartbreaking at first realizing that game will be my last of my High School career,” said Johnny Moore, the all-star safety. “But as I go on, I realize the pros of the season and that I’m happy for the time I did with the team.”
