The 2000s was a time that lots of people like to think back to because it was popular due to the differences in trends.
Now, various trends are coming back, such as baggy jeans and Converse, or concert tours coming back, such as My Chemical Romance, Evanescence, and more.
This is a positive impact.
For clothing styles, I find them to be creative and they look amazing. It’s a very experimental style, and that’s what makes it interesting. The styles that are coming back are fashions called pop-punk, Y2K Aesthetic, athleisure, and scene/emo.
These styles are a way for anyone to represent their interests. To me, they are very creative and sometimes even inspirational.
My negatives about this is that there are more judgmental people in this society. Bullying, rude comments, and more can ruin someone’s courage to be who they want to be. People should be less judgmental and more towards complimentary. There’s nothing wrong with representing who people want to be, I just find the negative judgments unnecessary.
In music, a bunch of artists are coming back. Many genres, such as recession pop, pop-punk, R&B, rock, and alternative are moving back into the 2020s. Many rock bands are coming back, including Linkin Park, Evanescence, Paramore, and My Chemical Romance.
To me, the music is very expressive and storytelling, making me feel and think a visual thought about these songs. I also listen to these bands often because various songs represent myself.
The problem is that lots of people are taking these music genres into consideration. Rock music has been losing popularity by the decades, and some R&B as well.
Also, people are changing the idea of the genres. Lots of R&B and country has changed its vibe and sound, mostly to more pop-concentrated music.
Overall, I find that the idea of the 2000s genre coming back is a great decision. It shows how we think about ourselves and the people we want to be. It allows us to feel unique and creative.
